Getting the help you or your loved one needs for an eating disorder can be a complicated process. Services that provide assessment and treatment for people experiencing eating disorders are structured differently across Victoria, so what support you get really depends on where you live.
Using information we have obtained from clinical leaders, carers, ex-service users and previous research, we have developed a pioneering integrated model of eating disorder service delivery for Victoria. Now we need to know if you think it could work!
We want people who have formerly received assessment, treatment and/or support for an eating disorder from public services in Victoria and people who have cared for a loved one experiencing an eating disorder to complete a series of brief surveys based on this new model. These surveys will allow you to decide what are the most important components of eating disorder service delivery, and what are the possible problems with implementing this new model? After each survey round, we will update and further refine this model to make sure it encompasses what you think is most important. After all – you are the people who have lived experience of using Victorian services!
