Researchers from the University of Melbourne are investigating the new Medicare reforms for Eating Disorders by exploring clinicians’ knowledge, satisfaction, and experiences with Eating Disorder treatment under the new reforms in current practice.

Should you agree to participate, you will be asked to fill in a short online survey, taking approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you will be given the option to inform us of whether you might be interested in attending one of two 1.5-2-hour online group discussions held via Zoom.

We are seeking approximately 12 participants (6 per group) to attend these online discussions groups to gather more in-depth information relating to your experiences with the new Medicare benefits scheme. During the online discussion you will be asked a series of open-ended questions that will allow you to elaborate on questions asked in the questionnaire and serve as an opportunity for you to provide detailed accounts of personal experiences and general feedback relating to the Medicare reforms.

Please read the comprehensive Plain Language Statement detailing more participant information related to this project.

Ethics approval has been received from the Office of Research Ethics and Integrity at The University of Melbourne (reference number: 2022-23541-33729-4).
