The Hub is our free, friendly and confidential service for anyone in Victoria. 

We can help you get information about eating disorders, listen to your experience, and help you find support. You don’t have to have an eating disorder to use the Hub.

How we help you

Who should contact the Hub?

The EDV Hub is for anyone in Victoria. Please get in touch if you:

  • want to talk to someone about body image concerns, disordered eating, or eating disorders
  • are supporting a loved one with an eating disorder
  • are worried about someone close to you
  • are a health professional seeking advice relating to a patient/client
  • need contact details for experienced health professionals in your area
  • want to discuss treatment options in Victoria.

Please note that we cannot provide commentary about eating disorders to students for projects and assignments. Please use the information on our website instead.

Does the Hub offer languages other than English?

Yes, we offer phone interpreters.

  • If you call: we ask if you want a phone interpreter.
    If you fill in our webform: you can tell us you want a phone interpreter.

We schedule your call for when an interpreter in your language is available. We offer over 190 languages through phone interpreting.

Who will you speak to?

The EDV Hub is staffed by fully trained volunteers who have a special interest in eating disorders.

What happens when you contact the Hub?

The Hub can:

  • Have a brief supportive conversation to explore your experiences and understand your needs.
  • Provide information about body image, disordered eating and eating disorders.
  • Help you find appropriate treatment options or services. For example, a GP in your area, specialised eating disorder services, or support groups.
  • Advise you on what EDV services could be best for you.
  • Book you in for EDV services. This includes our nurses, counsellors, or carer coaching.

Please note we are not a crisis service. This means you shouldn’t call us in an emergency.
