EDV Community Survey 2025

The EDV Community Survey is an annual survey of people with lived or living experience of eating disorders, their carers and support people, and health professionals.

It builds builds a much-needed picture of what it’s like to live with an eating disorder in Victoria, and what support is needed.

We use what you tell us to power our advocacy work. Previously, your feedback has led to outcomes like the Victorian Eating Disorders Strategy, and extra support for eating disorders during COVID lockdowns.

We also use your feedback to make sure our programs are doing what you need them to, and make improvements.

Who should do the survey?

This survey has targeted questions for:

  • Consumers: people with current or past experience of an eating disorder
  • Carers: people with current or past experience caring for a loved one with an eating disorder
  • Professionals: people who work with people impacted by eating disorders, including peer workers
  • Donors: people who have donated to EDV

You do not have to have ever used EDV’s services to do the survey.

What happens next?

The Community Survey results have a direct impact. We use your answers to help improve our planning and programs, to prioritise what advocacy issues we focus on, and to choose the psychoeducation content we create.

We will publish key findings from our Survey. These will be anonymous and de-identified.

Accessibility

The survey is online. Depending on how much applies to you and how much you know about EDV, it may between 10 and 25 minutes to complete.

The question formats include multiple choice, check box, ratings and written responses.

If this format is not accessible for you, please contact us: [email protected]. We will work out an alternative way for you to fill out the survey.
