As many of you are aware there have been some changes to EDV’s staffing following the recent departure of our long-time CEO, Jennifer Beveridge. I wanted to give you an update on what is happening and our plans for the immediate, short and long-term future of the EDV leadership team.

What’s happening now

I am sitting in the CEO chair for the next two months before taking maternity leave at the end of July. Veronica Trabant has commenced in the role of Client Services Manager and is looking forward to connecting with many of you over the next year.

We have a busy couple of months ahead, with Feed the Soul, the completion of the third year of the Peer Mentor Program and the ongoing Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System.

Next steps

Interim CEO, Belinda Caldwell, commencing end of July.

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Belinda Caldwell to the position of Interim CEO of EDV. Belinda brings enormous experience of the eating disorders and broader health sectors and a deep personal commitment to making a difference to the eating disorders journey for those who experience them.

Belinda has a Masters in Public Health and is an experienced CEO in her own right, having led the Australian Practice Nurses Association for seven years. Most recently, Belinda held a senior role at CEED, the Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders.

Belinda will be in place for at least nine months while a process is conducted to identify our new permanent CEO.
